Melbourne youngster Karl Vilips holed a 10m birdie putt from off the green to win his second consecutive US Kids World Championship golf title.
Coming from three shots off the pace starting the third and final round at the Pinehurst No.8 course in North Carolina, Vilips shot a five-under-par 67 to win the nine-year-old division by one stroke on Sunday.
After making the turn three under for the round, nerves threatened to take hold, Vilips father Paul told AAP.
But a bogey at 13 was followed by a birdie at 14 which got Vilips back on track.
On the final hole Vilips needed a birdie to seal victory and he responded by sinking his long putt from off the green to clinch it.
The US Kids World Championship, the most prestigious tournament in the world for children attracted some 7000 players in all age divisions.
Vilips, from Dingley in Melbourne, won the eight-year-old division in the same tournament last year.
Sunday's victory was his 23rd in tournament play around the world and his fourth in the US.
This year he made his debut in inter-club Pennant competition in Melbourne, playing for Southern Golf Club in the under-23 colts division.
