Australia are expecting New Zealand's No.1 goal shooter Irene van Dyk to return in Sunday's series-deciding netball Test in Melbourne.
The 201-Test veteran was surprisingly left out of the Silver Ferns line-up for their second test in Adelaide, as the home side levelled the series with an emphatic 51-44 victory.
New Zealand's new coach Waimarama Taumaunu decided that she needed to look to the future, and gave 24-year-old Cathrine Latu a taste of the best of international netball instead of the 39-year-old sharp-shooter.
But with the Constellation Cup on the line at Hisense Arena on Sunday afternoon, Diamonds goal defence Julie Corletto said the Australians expect van Dyk to start.
"We expect her to play but we'll be getting ourselves prepared for any combination that they put out," Corletto said on Friday.
"It was good to play against Latu in Adelaide and we know that we can get the job done and are confident in ourselves."
