Toulouse manager Guy Noves insisted Monday that hooker William Servat would remain with the champions next season, but brushed aside speculation that he could replace forwards coach Yannick Bru.
Bru left the Top 14 leaders to become one of new France coach Philippe Saint-Andre's assistants.
"How do you see William? He is after all the France team hooker. I hope that he will continue to play," said Noves, when asked if Servat whose contract runs until June 2012 would replace Bru.
"It's sure that William will be at Toulouse next season. We've made him an offer, I don't know if he'll accept it, but he will be at Toulouse next year, that's for sure.
"He'll honour his commitments to he club until the end."
Servat however could miss a top-of-the table clash with Clermont because of the France versus Ireland Six Nations game which has to be rescheduled.
"For me from a sporting point of view after having played half of the championship taking into account absent players, the interests of rugby are the obvious priority," said Noves.
"I won't go against it, that's not my role."
