Olympians Markus Rogan of Austria and Laszlo Cseh and Daniel Gyurta of Hungary are among 41 swimmers named to the European team for next week's Duel in the Pool against Americans.

The biennial short course meet will be staged December 16-17 in Atlanta at the site of swim events in the 1996 Centennial Olympics.

Europe's all-star lineup also includes Swiss Dominik Meichtry, Britain's Adam Brown, Marco Loughran and Robbie Renwick, Pal Joensen of the Faroe Islands and Russian Vladimir Morozov on the men's side.

Women named to the European squad included Britain's Gemma Spofforth and Elizabeth Simmonds, Denmark's Lotte Friis, Hungary's Katinka Hosszu and Ranomi Kromowidjojo and Marleen Veldhuis of the Netherlands.

Leading the US squad are Olympic champions Ryan Lochte, Natalie Coughlin and Rebecca Soni plus reigning world champions Missy Franklin and Elizabeth Beisel.

Americans defeated Australia in the first three events in 2003, 2005 and 2007 and a European squad in 2009.
