Essendon have indefinitely suspended AFL played Michael Hibberd, after the player was allegedly involved in an early Sunday morning physical altercation on the Mornington Peninsula.
Essendon’s general manager of football operations, Paul Hamilton, made the following statement to media:
“As the matter is being investigated by Police, I am unable to comment in relation to the alleged incident but what I can say is that Michael has been suspended indefinitely for breaching team protocol by being out late while recovering from a hamstring injury,” Hamilton said.
More to come.
